Kagaz copies the underlying page objects into a new document rather than re-rendering them. Text stays selectable and searchable, vector graphics stay sharp at any zoom, and images are passed through untouched. The output is usually within a few kilobytes of the original.
No. The thumbnails are rendered by pdf.js inside your browser, and the new PDF is assembled there too. There is no server.
Because dragging is miserable on a phone, and a lot of people reach for these tools on a phone. The arrow buttons work everywhere and with a keyboard. Adding drag as an extra on larger screens is a good first issue.
